I've only had two jobs so far in my lifetime. My first job was at Round Table Pizza about two years ago. The second one, which i am currently at is Coach USA Grayline, which is a bus company.
ReplyDeleteOut of the two jobs i've had, i think Round Table Pizza was the worst. I had to work with nasty food all day, and went home greasy and smelling like a pepporoni. I ate a lot of pizza, and gained weight. Some of the customers were very rude, and always left a mess. I ended up quitting that job because i had to move pretty far away from it. I would never work there again.
I've never had a job in my life but I did have the chance to intern at a gas company. Working at a gas company such as BP are usually connected with a guy working at the register or pumping gas for customers. My job was completely different, i worked in the communication center where i had to write letters to important members, articles for the company magazine, and reports for my bosses. This was the worst job because, thought i am fond of writing, writing numerous works for a job for the rest of your life isn't my type of profession i would like to enter. Pumping gas for customers wouldn't sound that bad if compared to the communication department.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say the worst job I've ever tried was as an office assistant at Farmers Insurance. I realized from that job that I can't do office jobs, especially with Asians. At this desk job I had to answer phones, file, type up invoices and check up status' of insurance policies online. It not the job for me at all. Time passed by super slow and it wasn't fun at all. It was just too quiet in there and not exciting at all. I worked at Metropark for a while and it was really fun. I love fashion and socializing with others. It's more exciting to me as opposed to sitting on a chair all day in silence. Although I realized retail was not for me either, it was a fun experience and it made me realize how much fun it would be to become a stylist in the future. Little jobs here and there as we grow up set us up for what we enjoy doing and what we'd like to do in the future.
ReplyDeleteMy worst job would have to be the one I have now, a cashier at JC Penney. Management is really unfair in how they distribute hours and in determining wages. Half of the supervisors are unappreciative and very full of themselves. Every now and then I get customers that get extremely upset, to the point of even cussing at me, because we can't take certain returns or they misread price signs and coupons which somehow ends up being my fault. Hopefully I find something better soon.
ReplyDeleteI’ve had a hand full of jobs in my life time so far. However the one that I would say was the worst was when I worked at Baskin Robins back in my high school days. The job it’s self was not all that bad. The only bad thing about it was really just picking up after other peoples mess (its only ice cream) and “closing duties”. What made it so bad for me though was after I would get out of school I would have to go to work. Mean while all my friends are hanging out.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a job in my life. However, I interned at a Pediatrician office last year. My duties as an intern were filing documents, calling patient for appointment day, and shredding paper. I thought this was the worst position to be in. I don't think there is any worst jobs in America. It only matters if they enjoy it or not.
ReplyDeleteI've had a variety of jobs but I'd have to say that any aspect of the job that requires cleaning is definitely a terrible job itself. Although working as a fast food service worker or working at a retail store are actually not that bad since I enjoy interacting with customers, cleaning, especially dishes and the floor, is extremely bad. I just believe that cleaning makes the individual trapped and even ashamed in a sense to be doing a dirty deed that no one else wants to do. Even though we need people to do those dirty jobs, I fully empathize for those who do.
ReplyDeleteThe job that I had and dreaded the most was a door to door alarm system salesman. It was the worst job for me because I hated knocking on random people’s doors and trying to persuade them in buying an alarm system. If I was the person on the other side of the door hearing the salesman give the pitch to me and trying to get me to buy it I would just want to close the door on him or not even open the door.
ReplyDeleteOut of the very few jobs I've had the worst was filling out mileage forms for LA county social workers. My sister is a social worker, so her along with many of her coworker friends paid me to basically to the most TEDIOUS part of their job. They would each give me a year long list of all the job related visits and outings they went on, and i had to calculate how many miles each took. Seriously, i think I'm the only person in the world that has used mapquest.com for like five hours straight!! Anyways, then i would have to figure out the speedometer, and figure out how much money they would get per mile. Sooo boring...but I was paid pretty good, and i got to work out of my laptop at home so i guess there was a silver lining.
ReplyDeletehaha :]
I've only had one job my entire life, but i've been working at red lobster for two years 3 months , and I can honestly say i love it there. I'm currently a server, and make really good money, but the thing i love most about my job is the people i work with because we're all so very close. The sucky thing bout my job is dealing with picky and nagging people!! I think that before anyone ever goes out to eat and judges the service or server itself needs to be a waitress to understand! I think the worst job anyone could ever have is cleaning restrooms at a gas station or something, ahh! that would be super gross!
ReplyDeleteI have had a lot of jobs so far. A lot of them where terrible jobs that I didn't work at very long, but hands down the worst one was Forever 21 in the Brea Mall. I worked there for two weeks which is the shortest I've ever worked at any job. All I did all day was put away clothes for eight hour shifts. Every time you would think you would be close to done they would find more clothes that needed to go away, or because people were constantly trying on clothes there was always something else to put it. I hated it so much, and now never want to work at another retail store in my life.

ReplyDeleteI would have to say that my worst job was when i was in high school. I worked at Dairy Queen and i will never ever ever work in the food industry. Everything about it suxed. I would always smell, clean dirty messes, and take bossy orders. My manager was very annoying, smelled like onions and always wanted to know my personal business. Glady i quit there after working for a year or so.
ReplyDeleteI worked in a warehouse and I had to load/unload semi trucks full of office furniture (desks/chairs/cubicle dividers, etc.) It was very hot during the summer, and was very hard on my legs, feet, and hands. I also had to sometimes open boxes and put the chairs or desks together. By far the worst part was every other week or so, or when work was slow, I had to help sweep the entire warehouse floor with this stuff that made your hands smell really bad (even with gloves on), it would take at least 3 hours with no breaks to complete.
ReplyDeleteI have held various jobs and have never put on my mind that there is a particular job that is worse than another.I feel doing this will only set me up to not appreciate things and hence tend to focus on the positive. I believe that all jobs have importance whether its cleaning toilets or working as an executive. Some have no luxuary of chosing jobs and if it does help you survive it is good regardless of its enviroment. What i dont like is a situation where there is intentional discrimination meaning allocation of position is not done by merit. It defeats the need to work hard but the underlying thing is giving your best and move on to something else.
ReplyDeleteThe worse job I have ever had would probably the job I had a year ago. I worked at a sushi bar for 6 months. Everything went well for the first couple months, but then my boss progressed into making me feel so uncomfortable. He would use cheesy lines and just try to talk to me everytime I got to work. It got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and had to quite.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a job in my entire life. I would say the worst job out there is probably the body embalmers. I don't know how anyone can stand cleaning up the bodies of the dead and prepare them to be buried.
ReplyDeleteIn my life I have only had 2 offical jobs. The worse one was working for KNOTTS BERRY FARM.
ReplyDeleteI must say that I truly hate KNOTTS BERRY FARM, the place is way more than broken down its dilapidated. I worked for Foods when I was there and I hated every day of it.
I didnt only hate the place becasue of the conditons of the place, when i say this place was dilapidated i mean it was DILAPIDATED the AC was always broken in most resturants in the park our conters where at an angle if placed something to heavy on them wood would chip off from the bottom, sliding windows wouldnt slide, we would always be out of stock, i also hated the working there because I would always be given my breaks hours late and the place was just not legit. but justice was served when knotts was sude for $9MILLION they now have to distribute that money to everyones whos worked from(2003-2009) im getting money back so im very happy that KNOTTS BERRY FARM is finally paying for its bad habbits.
